When Will They Know That You Care?

When I was about twelve, I was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome. The numerous psychiatrists and psychologists I talked to always came to this conclusion quickly after they met me. I can’t blame them, because I had the textbook symptoms: shitty social skills and lack of empathy. But most importantly, I treated people like objects, and objects like people.
